Communal Places
For Literary Enthusiasts
A
Alabama Booksmith is the
product of the life work, the ultimate dream, really, of a family of
booksellers from an incredibly long line of them. Strategically facing Alabama’s
busiest highway from a tree-lined backroad, The Alabama Booksmith offers exceptional
service with a distinctive business model that enhances the unique experience
of browsing a bookstore where every cover is visible (how else can we judge,
right?) and every book is signed!
*Showroom is currently closed, but you can take advantage of their full-service
website and parking lot pick-up.

This sounds like a cool bookstore. Not sure I'll ever get to Alabama, but you never know.
ReplyDeleteHi Natalie!
DeleteTrue. But if you're ever near Birmingham...
What a cool bookstore. Good to see you on A to Z girlfriend. I was unable to finish last year and realized sometimes, you are the reader. I hope all is well with you. Ann
ReplyDeleteHi Ann!
DeleteGood to see you too! And, yes, your blog has always been one of my favorites. I've come across a few cool 'Literary' places, living vicariously (via internet) as I do these days. I hope to visit in person, once we're free to move about the planet again :-)
What a great topic for the #atozchallenge!
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteThanks, I hope you enjoy the challenge ;-)
I love that you can see ever book cover. That is so cool. Weekends In Maine
ReplyDeleteI like that aspect too!
DeleteThinking of bookstores makes me sad. I think of all the stores that were near me where I used to like to go to browse or actually buy books. Now they are gone. I'm not sure how far the nearest bookstore is to me now. I can always go to the Walmart across the street from me, but they have a rather sorry selection.
ReplyDeleteHope this Alabama store hangs on.

Tossing It Out
Hi Lee!
DeleteI'm amazed (and glad) that so many independent bookstores have survived.
After all those recent tornados, I actually called and spoke to someone at this bookstore. They're fine, just anxious to fully re-open again ;-)
